Our annual RV campout allows you to find community on the road while RVing to, within and from Alaska. Join us for a week of fun, food and friendship with like-minded travelers who are also RVing around Alaska from all over the North America and beyond.
Get ready for a rally setting unlike anywhere we’ve had before! Nestled at the base of the spectacular Pioneer Peak in Alaska’s Mat-Su Valley, Alaska Raceway Park combines breathtaking Alaska scenery with the energy and excitement of one of the state’s most unique venues.
Lots of activities are planned throughout the week including daily happy hours, campfires and potlucks, a game night, seminar speaker series, RV Home Show & so much more.
There is nothing better than making new friendships on the road. At our Rally we make it easy for you to connect with like-minded folks on the road to Alaska that will last a lifetime.
The most important goal of our Rally is to have fun! We purposely don't jam pack the schedule so you can enjoy your time in camp or you may explore the Denali State Park area on your own.

We’re looking for 10–15 volunteers to join our Setup Crew as we prepare for the start of the rally. If you can arrive a day early and are willing to help with parking, registration, or general setup, we’d love to have your help! Signup is available during the registration process. It’s a great way to kick off the week and meet fellow RVers right from the start! 🛠️

Please plan to arrive between the hours of 11am and 4pm. You will be parked as you come in so if you are traveling with other RV's be sure to arrive together to guarantee we can park you together. NO EXCEPTIONS due to the parking process. Check-in at the Party Tent once you are parked and settled.

Bring your chairs and your favorite beverages down to the Party Tent and meet your fellow RV2AK Rally members for our first Happy Hour gathering of the Rally.

Dinner is Served! After a long day of driving who wants to cook dinner! Don't worry we've got you covered! Enjoy a hot meal on us catered by a local food truck.

Let the party continue as we start a campfire and enjoy the live Alaskan country & rock n roll music style of the Jerry Wessling Band as we sing along and dance the night away.

The famous RV2AK Breakfast Potluck. Bring your favorite breakfast dish, a plate and flatware and join your fellow rally members for a breakfast to remember. It is amazing all the wonderful items that our members make for this unusual group meal.

One of the highlights of the RVing to Alaska Rendezvous Rally is learning from those who truly live and explore the North. Stay tuned for our 2027 Speaker Series featuring a lineup of passionate experts sharing their knowledge, skills, and stories with our community.

The Home State Happy Hour is all about sharing a little taste of home! Bring a favorite food, snack, beverage or treat that represents your home state or region and set it out for everyone to sample. Just be sure to save room for desert ... because tonight is our famous Alaskan Waddinger Campfire Cookout.

Put on your Rally Shirt and come down to the Party Tent for our nightly campfire where we will take the official 2027 RV2AK Rally Group Photo at 7:00pm. (If the weather is misbehaving we will try again on another day.)

Game night is always a fun night at the Rally. Bring your favorite traveling games to the Party Pavilion be it Ladder Ball, Corn Hole, Molkky, or Left Right Center or whatever it is you play and plan to have a good time sitting around the fire or getting in on the action. And the Rally tradition continues with our famous Alaskan Waddinger Cookout night... and trust us when we say making them is half the fun!
Community Day is your chance to get out and experience the Mat-Su Valley! We’ve left the daytime schedule open so you can explore the area at your own pace, visit nearby attractions, connect with local tour operators, or simply enjoy a day of adventure with your fellow RV2AK travelers. But don’t make plans for the evening just yet! We’re working hard behind the scenes to put together a special Community Night on the Town that will showcase some of the great businesses, food, drinks and experiences found throughout the Valley. Plans are still in the works and not quite ready to be announced, but trust us—you’ll want to keep your evening open!

Tour and learn more about your fellow Rally Members’ homes on wheels as you stroll through the campground. This activity takes 2–3 hours to complete the full circuit, so be sure to put on your walking shoes. (Sign up during check-in if you'd like to show off your RV and campsite.)

A series of focused roundtable discussions designed to spark meaningful dialogue, share real-life experiences, and connect with fellow RVers on topics that matter most to life on the road in Alaska. Each 45–60 minute session will be led by 1–2 experienced facilitators who will help guide the conversation and keep things on track—without the pressure of a formal presentation. These are casual, collaborative spaces where everyone has something to contribute and learn.

Make your favorite gathering dish for our final meal together at our farewell potluck. (Also if needed a second chance to take a Group Picture if the first time was not successful.)

Gather one last time around the campfire before we hit the road where we raffle off our door prizes donated by our generous Event Sponsors and Friends of the Rally.

Please plan to depart camp by 11:00 AM on Friday if you are not adding on the Weekend Package. Safe travels, and we hope to see you down the road!

We’re looking for 10–15 volunteers to lend a hand with event tear down on Friday morning. If you’re able to stay a little longer and help us pack up, we’d greatly appreciate it! Many hands make light work—and it's a great way to wrap up the rally together. You can sign up for tear down crew when registering for the Rally!
New for 2027, the fun doesn’t have to end when the Rally does! Attendees will have the option to Extend Your Stay at Alaska Raceway Park through the weekend and stick around for the Raceway’s weekend activities. This optional extension will be available for an additional cost, giving you a chance to enjoy even more time with your RV2AK friends while experiencing the excitement of Alaska Raceway Park in action. Additional details, including weekend activities, pricing and how to add the extension to your Rally stay, will be announced as we get closer to the event.

Yes. It’s a package deal and can’t broken up by how many days you can stay. You can leave early or come late but you will be paying for the entire event. No refunds for unused time.
This is Rally at the Raceway, so leave your expectations of a traditional RV park behind! We will be creating our own temporary RV community on the grounds of Alaska Raceway Park, with RVs parked rally-style in a designated area on the property. Sites will be on a level gravel surface and will be large enough to accommodate everything from truck campers and travel trailers to fifth wheels and big Class A motorhomes. This is dry camping with no individual water, sewer or electrical hookups, so arrive with your fresh-water tank full and your black and gray tanks empty. Rally staff will be on hand when you arrive to check you in and guide you to your assigned parking area. And while the amenities may be simple, the view certainly isn’t—you’ll be camping beneath Pioneer Peak with the Chugach Mountains as the backdrop to our RV2AK home for the week!
Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. We do kindly ask that you do not run any generators overnight. Therefore please only run your generator between the hours of 8 am to 10 pm. We ask that you please be courteous to your neighbors as you will be parked close to one and another and only run your generator when necessary (generally for only a couple of hours at a time). If you do have a problem with noise or exhaust fumes, try having a friendly conversation with your neighbor.
Your RV Site will be approximately 18ft in width to accommodate everyone on the airfield. If you have a toad you will need to park it in front of your RV and within your assigned space.
No, as we mentioned this is an not a conventional RV park. You may use your generator during the daytime hours of 8am and 10pm as needed.
PLEASE ARRIVE WITH YOUR BLACK & GREY TANKS EMPTY & FRESH WATER FULL!
You can find dump stations as you work your way to the Rally in both Palmer or Wasilla.
The closest dump station to the Raceway Park is at the Matanuska River Park located at 925 E Arctic Ave in Palmer.
Please be ready to conserve your water and your tanks. There will be portable outhouses location around the property.
Please be prepared to pack out whatever you pack in. Again this is not a traditional rv park and appreciate your help in this request.
The location of this year’s Rally should have full cellphone service due to it’s proximity to town.
If you have your own Starlink you should have no issue deploying your dishy for your own personal connection.
Propane fires will be allowed at your RV site. Due to the fact this is a parking lot no wood fires will be allowed.
No. We share a total of three meals together as a group. The first night is our fully catered arrival dinner where you leave the cooking up to us. The other two meals we will be having together is a potluck breakfast on Tuesday morning and a potluck dinner on Thursday. All other meals you are responsible for on your own. Note every evening we do hold a happy hour at 4pm and evening activities will reconvene at 7pm.
To cancel, simply email support@rvingtoalaska.com with your confirmation number, main campsite guest’s name and the reason for cancellation. Cancellation requests received on or before Wednesday, May 12th, 2027 will receive a complete refund minus an administration fee of $65. Cancellation requests received between May 13th, 2026 and June 11th, 2027 will receive a refund in the amount of 50% of their registration costs. There will be NO refunds June 12th, 2027 up to the start of the rally. No Exceptions.
Tickets are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you may not sell or transfer your ticket(s) to a third party. All ticket changes or cancellations must be handled directly through RVing to Alaska LLC.
Again No exceptions will be made.
