Why Attend

Why You Should Attend our Rally

Our annual RV campout allows you to find community on the road while RVing to, within and from Alaska. Join us for a week of fun, food and friendship with like-minded travelers who are also RVing around Alaska from all over the North America and beyond.

Unique Setting

Located inside Denali State Park this property is rich in heritage and beautiful to behold. Relax and recharge in peaceful surroundings as we take over this unique historic lodge's airstrip for 5 days and 4 nights of boondocking fun.

Great Activities

Lots of activities are planned throughout the week including daily happy hours, campfires and potlucks, a game night, seminar speaker series, RV Home Show & so much more.

Meet New People

There is nothing better than making new friendships on the road. At our Rally we make it easy for you to connect with like-minded folks on the road to Alaska that will last a lifetime.

Have Fun

The most important goal of our Rally is to have fun! We purposely don't jam pack the schedule so you can enjoy your time in camp or you may explore the Denali State Park area on your own.

We decided to attend the 2024 Rally, not knowing what to expect. This type of event is normally outside of our comfort zone, but after enjoying the community online, decided to give it a shot. Stacey and Gary were great hosts, excellent at keeping the large group both entertained, as well as making sure everyone had a great time and the information they needed for events and outings. Overall, the event was well organized and the meeting many many great people from across the US was amazing; different characters and perspectives. The social hours, potluck meals were very enjoyable, Live music topped off one evening fantastically and the waddinger night was a hoot. We are already talking about attending again next year!"

    Rally FAQ's

Do I have to book all four nights during the Rally?

Yes. It’s a package deal and can’t broken up by how many days you can stay. You can leave early or come late but you will be paying for the entire event. No refunds for unused time.

What are the RV Sites like?

We are taking over the Bro Majors Airfield located directly across the highway from the Historic Chulitna River Lodge. The airstrip is apart of the Resort Property and boasts beautiful views of the Alaskan Range and views of Mt McKinley/Denali. The airstrip is 1700 feet long, is fairly level with a gravel/dirt surface.  We will be parking everyone rally style along the length of the airstrip. Upon arrival you will check in at the entrance to the Lodge and you will then be escorted across the highway to your parking area by Rally Staff. This is dry camping so please remember to arrive with empty black and grey tanks. and your fresh water is full.

What are the quiet hours & generator use policy?

Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. We do kindly ask that you do not run any generators overnight. Therefore please only run your generator between the hours of 8 am to 10 pm.  We ask that you please be courteous to your neighbors as you will be parked close to one and another and only run your generator when necessary (generally for only a couple of hours at a time).  If you do have a problem with noise or exhaust fumes, try having a friendly conversation with your neighbor.

Your RV Site will be approximately 18ft in width to accommodate everyone on the airfield. If you have a toad you will need to park it in front of your RV and within your assigned space.

    Are there Electric sites available?

No, as we mentioned this is an airstrip and not a conventional RV park. You may use your generator during the daytime hours of 8am and 10pm as needed.

    Where can I dump?

PLEASE ARRIVE WITH YOUR BLACK & GREY TANKS EMPTY & FRESH WATER FULL!

You can find dump stations as you work your way to the Rally down in Wasilla at the Circle K just past Pittman Rd on the Parks Highway or in Houston or Trapper Creek at the Three Bears Convenience Stores. Coming in from the north stop in at the Riley Creek Mercantile inside Denali National Park.

There is also a dump station at Byers Lake Campground but note they have limited days and hours of operation. As of 2025 it was open only on Sundays between 9am and noon.

Please be ready to conserve your water and your tanks. We will have porta-potty’s to accompany the several outhouses around the resort property and you may shower in one of 2 showers rooms at the main Bunker Lodge across the highway to help both your fresh and grey tanks.

Where do I take my trash?

Please be prepared to pack out whatever you pack in. Again this is an airstrip and not a traditional rv park. We will do our best to order an extra dumpster for the event as this was abused last year. But again… please try to pack out what you pack in.

Can I book a Cabin instead of an RV Site?

There are cabin’s on property but we will not be renting the cabins out out for the 2026 rally as we will be using them to house sponsors, moderators and special guests during the week.

Is there cell signal or internet?

During the 2025 event there was a small bar of cellular signal at the airstrip.   The Historic Chulitna River Lodge also has free WiFi available for guests in the common area of the Bunker Lodge across the highway that can be used as a communal working space.

If you have your own Starlink you should have no issue deploying your dishy for your own personal connection.

    Can I have a campfire?

Propane fires will be allowed at your RV site. All wood fires will be limited to designated fire rings or across the highway at the Lodge.

    Will there be showers available?

Yes, we will have available to us the use of two shower rooms over at the main Bunker Lodge for your use. We ask that you spread out your showering needs throughout the day as to not rush the shower rooms first thing in the morning. There is a nice waiting area in the main Bunker Lodge if the shower rooms are occupied when you first arrive.

Do we eat all meals together?

No. We share a total of three meals together as a group. The first night is our fully catered arrival dinner where you leave the cooking up to us. The other two meals we will be having together is a potluck breakfast on Thursday morning and a potluck dinner on Saturday. All other meals you are responsible for on your own. Note every evening we do hold a happy hour at 4pm and evening activities will reconvene at 7pm.

What is the Cancellation/Refund Policy for the Rally?

To cancel, simply email support@rvingtoalaska.com with your confirmation number, main campsite guest’s name and the reason for cancellation. Cancellation requests received on or before Friday, May 1st, 2026 will receive a complete refund minus an administration fee of $65. Cancellation requests received between May 2nd, 2026 and June 1st, 2026 will receive a refund in the amount of 50% of their registration costs. There will be NO refunds after June 1st, 2026. No Exceptions.

Tickets are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you may not sell or transfer your ticket(s) to a third party. All ticket changes or cancellations must be handled directly through RVing to Alaska LLC.

Again No exceptions will be made.
