Yes. It’s a package deal and can’t broken up by how many days you can stay. You can leave early or come late but you will be paying for the entire event. No refunds for unused time.
We are taking over the Bro Majors Airfield located directly across the highway from the Historic Chulitna River Lodge. The airstrip is apart of the Resort Property and boasts beautiful views of the Alaskan Range and views of Mt McKinley/Denali. The airstrip is 1600 feet long, is fairly level with a gravel/dirt surface. We will be parking everyone rally style along the length of the airstrip. Upon arrival you will check in at the entrance to the Lodge and you will then be escorted across the highway to your parking area by Rally Staff. This is dry camping so please remember to arrive with empty black and grey tanks. and your fresh water is full.
Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am (except for opening night as the band may play until 11pm). We do ask that you do not run any generators overnight. Therefore please only run your generator between the hours of 7 am to 10 pm. We ask that you please be courteous to your neighbors and only run your generator when needed (generally for only a couple of hours at a time). If you do have a problem with noise or exhaust fumes, try having a friendly conversation with your neighbor.
We will also have an area dedicated as a solar section where there will be stricter use of any generator as to not disturb those who wish to camp in a more quiet environment. If this interests you please choose the Solar Section when you register at checkout.
No, as we mentioned this is an airstrip and not a conventional RV park. You may use your generator if in the General parking section or collect rays from the sun.
PLEASE ARRIVE WITH YOUR BLACK & GREY TANKS EMPTY & FRESH WATER FULL!
You can find dump stations as you work your way to the Rally down in Wasilla atthe Circle K just past Pittman Rd on the Parks Highway or in Houston or Trapper Creek at the Three Bears Convenience Stores. Coming in from the north stop in at the Riley Creek Mercantile inside Denali National Park.
There is also a dump station at Byers Lake Campground but unsure of days or hours of operation at this time. We will confirm before Rally time.
Please be ready to conserve your water and your tanks. We are also looking into renting additional porta-potty’s to accompany the several outhouses around the resort property.
Please be prepared to pack out whatever you pack in. Again this is an airstrip and not a traditional rv park.
Absolutely. We have a small limited number of cabins available to rent if you do not have an RV or need extra space due to extra guests with your party. The cost of a cabin is separate from an RV site but you would still have full access to all Rally activities and events.
As of the summer of 2024 there was no cellular signal at the Historic Chulitna River Lodge. The Lodge however does have WiFi in the common area of the Bunker Lodge, that can be used as a communal working space..
We will also be running our RV2AK Starlink over at the airstrip that you can connect to, to check email or make a wifi call.
If you have your own Starlink you should have no issue deploying your dishy for your own personal connection.
Propane fires will be allowed at your RV site. All wood fires will be limited to designated fire rings or across the highway at the Lodge.
Yes, we plan to open one of the cabin bathrooms for attendee use for showers, by appointment only.
We do ask that you please try and use your own rv first but if your tanks are getting stressed then you may sign up for a shower if needed.
No. We share a total of three meals together as a group. The first night is our fully catered arrival dinner where you leave the cooking up to us. The other two meals we will be having together is a potluck breakfast on Thursday morning and a potluck dinner on Sunday. All other meals you are responsible for on your own. Note every evening we do hold a happy hour at 4pm and evening activities will reconvene at 7pm.
